Quicklaunch Inc is hoping to change the future of travel to space. Their goal is to create a propellant delivery system to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) at less than 10% of the current cost using hydrogen gun launchers. The Quicklaunch team came to us to update and enhance their existing presence on the web.
This project included graphic design, logos, search engine optimization (WordPress Website SEO Stages 1-3) and a WordPress based website. The Quicklaunch team knew they would want to be consistently adding content to the website in the form of updates and press coverage, so it was important they had a site built on a solid framework that would allow for simple editing by team members. All items posted to the blog section of the website are automatically syndicated to the Quicklaunch Facebook and Twitter profiles. Included in this package was also a one hour WordPress introductory tutorial, covering the basics of blogging and maintaining the website.
Images, article features and content were provided by Quicklaunch Inc. and integrated into the site in the form of blog articles, featured images and video. Based on analysis of the previous site and knowledge of their goals, we created an entirely new content framework for the site – separating it into sections catered to different interest groups.
Because Quicklaunch Inc already had a website with a significant amount of backlinks, precautions were taken to ensure the rebuild would not negatively affect these links and/or existing search engine rankings. We employed the use of 301 redirects and carefully analyzed the existing site structure before moving content. Upon rebuild an updated sitemap was submitted immediately and search engines were adequately notified of any changes.
